Masia de Matuta has been part of this valley for over 300 years. Originally a working farm where agriculture and animals set the rhythm of the days, the estate was lovingly restored in the early 2000s. Since then, we’ve never stopped improving, maintaining and caring for this place.

Today the Masia runs entirely off-grid: electricity from solar panels, water from an underground spring, and olive oil pressed from our own trees. Nine rooms, a saltwater infinity pool, breathtaking views and 27 hectares of nature, with no neighbors or roads within 3 kilometers.

Our rooms reflect the soul of the estate: some in traditional Spanish style, with thick walls and timeless charm, others more contemporary with a touch of modern luxury. Old and new, side by side, just like the Masia itself.

Evenings are for the table. Our cook, almost your private cook, cooks with the seasons, the land and a deep love for good food. Think long dinners on the terrace as the sun disappears behind the mountains. Breakfast is always included, and the homemade bread alone is worth waking up for.

But beyond our gates, a whole region is waiting to be discovered. Hike through the ancient cork forests of Sierra de Espadán, cycle Spain’s longest via verde — the Ojos Negros — through landscapes that seem untouched by time, chase waterfalls, soak in thermal springs, or wander through villages so quiet you’ll wonder if you’ve stepped back a century. Visit a church built inside a cave, a family bodega, a brewery, or a shop selling cheese that has been aged in the mountain rock. This is Spain as it used to be; raw, undiscovered, and breathtaking.
